Make Chyrmang Sub Centre operational: Jaintia Students' Union

SHILLONG: The Jaintia Students' Union (JSU) has demanded that the State government must make the Chyrmang Sub Centre operational at the earliest.

The JSU Jowai Circle president Aplang Lamare informed that members of the Union has conducted an inspection and found that the Sub centre has been abandoned by the government. ''Almost all the window panes are broken,'' he said.

According to him, the construction of the sub centre sanctioned under National Health Mission was completed in 2014. "We met and expressed our concern over the delay before the DMHO of West Jaintia Hills.

''We have demanded that the sub centre should be made operational immediately for the interest of the people of the area," he said.
