St Anthony's students bag top positions in Science and Commerce streams

Other rank holders are from Laban Bengalee Boys' Higher Secondary School, Shillong (in Science); and Don Bosco College (HS Section), Tura; Khliehriat HS School and Gorkha Pathshala HS School, Shillong (in Commerce stream)

SHILLONG: St. Anthony's Higher Secondary School has once again bagged top position in the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) in Science and Commerce Streams. The results for both the examinations were announced by the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) on Thursday.

Kaustab Choudhury became the topper in HSSLC Science Stream by securing 468, while Komal Sharma became a topper in HSSLC Commerce stream by securing 445.

The pass percentage of students in the HSSLC exams for the Science stream is 72.24% with only a slight improvement as compared to the previous year which saw a pass percentage of 71.07%.

The Commerce stream saw a pass percentage of 77.28% which was a slight dip as compared to the previous year where it was 79.24%.

St. Anthony's Higher Secondary School Shillong saw as many as 11 position holders from the Science stream as it dominated the top 10 merit list. Rituraj Deb of Laban Bengalee Boys' Higher Secondary School, Shillong bagged the 5th rank.

Meanwhile in the Commerce stream, St Anthony's again saw as many as 8 position holders. The other schools that had position holders were Don Bosco College (HS Section) in Tura, Khliehriat Higher Secondary School in Khliehriat and Gorkha Pathshala Higher Secondary School in Shillong.
