Meghalaya BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) condemns 'derogatory remark'

SHILLONG: The State BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) has stated that the derogatory statement made by the Tura city district president and other members against the national vice president of the party is highly condemnable.

A joint statement issued by BJP MLAs read — A L Hek, Sanbor Shullai and National Council Member Bashailang Khongwir said that all the persons involved in this 'derogatory act' should be expelled immediately as the allegations are a figment of their wild imagination.

They stated that the district president has made a scathing attack on the State in charge and National BJP leader which cannot be tolerated as the Saffron party takes pride in being a disciplined party.

They also urged the State president to intervene in the matter.
