Meghalaya BJP thanks health workers on the occasion of National Health Day

Shillong: The Meghalaya State BJP unit has its expressed its gratitude to all health workers, doctors and nurses on the occasion of National Health Day, on Tuesday.

In a press statement, the State BJP said: “We wish them the best of health as they work tirelessly even risking their lives. We also request them to encourage everyone to maintain social distancing during the lockdown period. Heartfelt gratitude and praise to all the traditional heads of various Dorbars, Shnongs and Seng Samla Shnongs, who have selflessly worked and volunteered to help others in this time of crisis and also supporting the government.”

The BJP Meghalaya Pradesh unit, further appreciated the role of the district administration, the police and the village defence party who are also leaving no stone unturned to keep vigilance on social distancing, law and order, etc., during the lockdown period.

The BJP Meghalaya lauds the Central Government, especially the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, to support frontline health workers, the statement said.
