SHILLONG: Altogether 123 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya on Thursday, taking the total active cases in the State to 2,369. The State also registered 138 recovered COVID-19 patients during the last 24 hours taking the tally of recovered patients till date to 4,832, informed Director of Health Services (MI), Dr Aman War.

Of the fresh cases, the highest number of 79 is reported from East Khasi Hills district followed by 14 from South Garo Hills; eight from Ri Bhoi; seven from West Garo Hills; six from South West Khasi Hills; three each from West Jaintia Hills and North Garo Hills; and one each from West Khasi Hills district, East Garo HIlls district and East Jaintia Hills district.

Of the 138 recovered COVID-19 patients, 102 are from East Khasi Hills; 16 from West Garo Hills; eight from Ri Bhoi; six from West Khasi Hills; four from East Jaintia Hills; and one each from South Garo HIlls and West Jaintia Hills districts, added Dr War.
