SHILLONG: The State recorded seven fresh COVID-19 deaths on Sunday, taking the total number of fatalities to over 1,300. Health authorities informed that of the seven deaths, four people were not vaccinated. The State also recorded 265 new cases and 332 people have recovered from the virus.

With the latest figures, the State now has 1,306 fatalities, 2,636 active cases and so far 71,659 people have recovered from the disease. Of the 265 new cases, East Khasi Hills district recorded 116, Ri-Bhoi district 49, West Khasi Hills district 33, West Jaintia Hills district 28, South West Khasi Hills district 18, East Jaintia Hills district 10, West Garo Hills district six, East Garo Hills district four and South West Garo Hills one.
