SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Monday reported 13 more COVID-19 fatalities taking the death count over 1,100, health authorities informed.

According to health authorities, all the 13 deaths reported were of unvaccinated persons.

East Khasi Hills district recorded seven deaths, Ri-Bhoi district and West Garo Hills district two, South Garo Hills district and West Khasi Hills district recorded one death each.

The State also recorded 350 new cases and 537 recovered from the virus.

With the latest figures, the state now has 1,109 total deaths, 5,843 active cases and 58,987 has so far recovered from the disease.

Of the 350 fresh infections, East Khasi Hills district recorded 197, West Garo Hills district 37, West Jaintia Hills district 33, Ri-Bhoi district 31, West Khasi Hills district 25, East Jaintia Hills district 12, South West Khasi Hills district seven, North Garo Hills district four, South Garo Hills district three and East Garo Hills district one.

Of the 5,843 active cases, East Khasi Hills district has 2,247, West Garo Hills district 834, West Khasi Hills district 705, West Jaintia Hills district 659, Ri-Bhoi district 622, South West Khasi Hills district 298, East Jaintia Hills district 173, East Garo Hills district 91, North Garo Hills district 86, South Garo Hills district 70 and South West Garo Hills district 58.
