SHILLONG: Meghalaya on Sunday recorded 35 new COVID-19 cases even as 76 new recoveries were registered. While the State's active cases now are 971, the recovered cases are 9,594, informed the Health Department.

East Khasi Hills has the most number of active cases with 298 followed by Ri-Bhoi with 292. Of the new cases, 26 were recorded in East Khasi Hills; four in West Garo Hills; two each in South West Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills; and one in North Garo Hills. Of the 76 new recovered cases, 19 have been reported from East Khasi Hills, 12 from East Jaintia Hills, 10 from West Jaintia Hills, six from West Garo Hills, three from East Garo Hills; two from South West Garo Hills; and one from West Khasi Hills.
