SHILLONG: Employees of the National Highways Authority of India's Ri- Bhoi district toll plaza in Meghalaya demanded the removal of their manager for allegedly misbehaving with the local employees.
As per reports, at the toll plaza which is located in Pahammawlein of the Ri- Bhoi district, the local employees there went on the street to protest against their manager's misbehaviour done with them.
Especially the women employees alleged that Gagiur Rahman, who is the manager of M. B. Consortium company had misbehaved with the local workers and made enormous false accusations that became beyond tolerance for the local workers.
Notably. last Thursday evening, 20 to 30 local workers halted their work and went out on the street to protest their issue.
Later on, the Ri- Bhoi district police reached the place to take note of the situation there so that no violent situation erupts.
Speaking to the media, Kyrngun Sylliang, who is the representative of Lumjingshai Pahammawlein and Jayan Sylliang who is the local director of the plaza, condemned the behaviour of the manager and supported the protestors in their protest.
