Meghalaya: TMC Assured 3 Lakh Job Opportunities If The Party Is Brought Into Power

SHILLONG : As the upcoming election is knocking the doors, the opposition TMC claimed to provide 3 lakh job opportunities in Meghalaya if the party is brought into power. Along with that, a monthly remuneration of Rs 1000 will also be provided to each ideal individual in the state.

The jobs will be assigned under the 'MYE Card', stated TMC on Thursday. Notably, this is the party's second electoral assurance, following the We Card which focused on inclusion of women in the financial sphere.

Charles Pyngrope, the TMC state president mentioned the motive behind this theme is to cover up the failure of the NPP-led MDA government to provide employment during their five years ruling phase. He further claimed that, both NPP and BJP government has failed to offer the youths of Meghalaya a source of income.

Instead, the administration passed on the burden in their shoulders. Pyngrope stated that, unemployed individuals from the age group of 21 to 40 will be given a remuneration amount on a monthly basis.

The party emphasised on the fact that, the dependency ratio on youth is the highest in Meghalaya as compared to the other states in India. This highlights deep sufferings and poverty issues in several families in the state, added Charles Pyngrope.

TMC leader, Mukul Sangma talked about the responsibility of the party in power, that should ensure proper implementation of promises made in its manifesto. The task to provide such massive number of jobs is definitely a challenge, however, TMC has figured it out, added Sangma.

He slammed the the NPP government for fooling people before and after the election process. He further asserted that, this time the scenario has a huge probability to change, as people are going to use their wisdom and conscience while voting.
