SHILLONG: A newly emerging terror outfit in Meghalaya wrote a letter to the chief minister of the state through email demanding the release of Julius K Dorphang.

Julius is an ex-leader of the militant group in Meghalaya called HNLC (Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council) which aims to free the state outsider's domination.

In the letter to the CM Conrad Sangma, the outfit stated that Julius K Dorphang should get released by Sunday of this week otherwise there will be major consequences.

It also gave bomb threats to the chief minister saying that a Lower Primary School will be blown up if their demand doesn't get fulfilled.

This comes just a few weeks after the Meghalaya government appointed an interlocutor who would sit for meetings with the outlawed military group HNLC.

The email was reportedly sent by the publicity secretary of the organization who was working as a teacher prior to his contract being terminated.

The secretary demanded that the former HNLC leader Dorphang must be released and left alone inside a bus that will be on the ISBT platform.

He should be found there at 10:00 pm sharp on Sunday 10 April April stated the publicity secretary on behalf of the outfit.

The email to Sangma reads, "Don't wasn't your time tracking us. This IP address has been coaxed and so was the previous one. Sparing you the trouble, our IP address is 114.143.108.143 after which it would bounce to 158.144.109.170 then to 152.57.86.143 before shifting from 158.144.114.36; 103.226.236.243; 158.144.59.70 and finally 114.143.108.89."

The sender also claimed that the email was sent from a system whose IP address was coaxed by a fellow M.Tech specialist who also was a part of the outfit.

It added, "I know what you're thinking. Why did this M.Tech student turn to a rebel group? First, blame it on yourself. Second, I guess it lies in the job description; who, after all, is least likely to confuse the radio with the landing gear, or the red wire with the green! So let the games begin!"

Earlier this week, the outfit sent its first letter to the governor, chief minister and other officials identifying itself as a 'terror group' made 37 qualified jobless youths.

In the initial letter also the group has given bomb threats stating that explosive devices will explode every week beginning from 1st May 2022.

They further informed about their targets as MBOSE building as the first one, the second St. Anthony's School, and NEHU stating that bombs will be planned until solutions come for all the employment of all Meghalaya youth.
