One-day orientation programme on rainwater harvesting

JOWAI, Sept 21: The District Basin Development Unit will be organising a one day orientation programme in Low Cost Rain Harvesting Technology, the first of its kind in Meghalaya. The training will be held of September 20 from 10 am onwards. Shivakumar AR, Senior Scientist of Kartaka State Council for Science and Technology, Bangalore will impart the training. The morning session of the training, which is non-technical, will be for the general public where 150 participants can take part. The afternoon session will deal with specialized technical training for 50 Government officers and qualified Engineers. Nomitions are opened for the general public and the last date for submission of the mes is on September 27 by 5 Pm. Since seats are limited the District Basin Development Unit will decide and publish the list of participants.
