SHILLONG: Stung by the reports that cast aspersion on Pine Mount School in the conduct of the ISC examinations, the Principal the premiere institution of Shillong, Aiom Ksiar Diengdoh has asked the Government to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter besides writing a letter to the Deputy Secretary ISC Poonam Sodhi.

A section of the media has reported that there were not enough question papers for the practical exams while the truth of the matter was that there was a surplus of question papers dispatched from New Delhi. “There were 19 science students and we had a set of 25 question papers,” stated Lyngdoh while demonstrating the surplus question papers before newspersons on Wednesday. She also stated that the examination held on Monday passed off without any glitch. Suspecting there could be elements who are hell-bent to malign her and the image of the institution, the Principal said, “ I have already requested the higher-ups in the Department of Higher and Technical Education to carry out a probe in case there may be inside forces who are hell-bent to tarnish the image of the Principal and the School. Moreover, besides her official letter to the Council in-charge of ISC exams, she also said that her course of action is to seek redressal in a suitable manner.
