Public Distribution System rice has been released for the month of November in Shillong

SHILLONG: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (Supply), in-charge of Sohra Civil Sub-Division, Sohra has informed that PDS (Public Distribution System rice has been released for the month of November, 2021 to all the Government approved Fair Price Shop dealers at the scale of 35 kg per card at the rate of Rs 3 per kg for Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) card holders, 5 kg per head at Rs 3 per kg for Priority House Hold (PHH) card holders and 7.215 kg per card at the cost fixed by the Vigilance Committee of not more than Rs 15 per kg for the Non-NFSA card holders.

Mentionably, in addition to the normal quota, the Government has also released rice free of cost under Prime Minister Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) at the rate of 5 kg per head for Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) and Priority House Hold (PHH) card holders only for the month of November, 2021.

All the Wholesalers/FPS dealers and and also the beneficiaries are instructed to strictly adhere to the protocols and advisories issued by the Health & Family Welfare Department by maintaining social /physical distance of 6 feet/2 meters, wearing of face mask, cough etiquette, not spitting in public places, hand sanitization etc.
