SHILLONG: A school in Garobadha in South West Garo Hills has been named after a slain CRPF jawan from the area. The CRPF 120 Battalion from Tura on Friday organised an inaugural program for Sugandha Koch Memorial Government LP School.

Sugandha Koch was killed in an IED blast triggered by Maoists in Chhattisgarh in 2005. Koch was part of many successful CRPF operations in the Maoist-hit area. Koch's parents and the village headman were among those present.
