Special Task Force organized Programme on Social Issues at Rongjeng School

WILLIAMNAGAR: The Special Task Force for Rongjeng Administrative Unit in collaboration with the United Christian Peace Forum (UCPF) organized a daylong awareness programme on social issues at Rongjeng Government UP School playground with local MLA Jim M Sangma as the chief guest on Wednesday, stated a press release.

Highlighting the provisions of the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Jim stressed on the need to protect the environment and urged the people of the area to initiate steps for a plastic-free Rongjeng. While speaking about the social issues, he urged the youth of the region to refrain from creating nuisance in public places and tourist spots and to stay away from anti-social activities.
