SHILLONG: The State Council of Science, Technology & Environment, Meghalaya, will be organizing a two-day training programme on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) at the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), North Eastern Region, NEHU campus, here on October 14 and 15. The objective of the programme is to raise awareness and more knowledge on Intellectual Property Rights and laws. Participants from the Science & Technology Council of all the northeastern states including Uttarakhand and Odisha along with IP professionals from universities, line departments and other organizations will be participating in the meet. Experts from DST and TIFAC will be the main resource persons. The training is being catalyzed and supported by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), New Delhi and Meghalaya Basin Development Authority (MBDA).
