3.2 Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Mizoram

Guwahati: An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 jolted South Thenzawl in Mizoram on Thursday, Informed the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

The earthquake was felt at 12:50 PM at 21 kilometers south of Thenzawl town in Mizoram.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, NCS said, ''Earthquake of Magnitude:3.2, Occurred on 24-03-2022, 12:50:45 IST, Lat: 23.09 & Long: 92.78, Depth: 24 Km ,Location: 21km S of Thenzawl, Mizoram, India.''

Fortunately, so far no casualties have been reported.

In January too, an earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit Mizoram.

The epicenter of the temblor that struck at 7.52 a.m. was 46 km ENE of Ngopa and at a depth of 15 km.
