Guwahati: Yet another earthquake -- this time in the Champai district -- has jolted Mizoram. The latest earthquake in Mizoram, measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, hit the state at 15:56:42 IST on Friday, officials said.
The earthquake originated at a depth of 10 kilometres at Latitude 23.17 and Longitude 93.22. The epicentre of the earthquake 33 km south of southwest Champhai in Mizoram, the National Centre of Seismology stated.
This is the ninth earthquake in Mizoram that has rocked the state in the past one month, officials said.
