Assam Rifles conducted lecture on drug abuse at Sapi-III village

AIZAWL: The Lunglei Battalion of Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on 'Fight Against Drugs' at Sapi-III village on Thursday, stated a press release.

The lecture explained the harmful of effects of drugs and their counter measures. The aim of the lecture was to educate adolescents about illicit drug use in an effort to prevent illegal drug use, while highlighting the dangers of problematic substance use. Further contact numbers and the details of various drug rehabilitation centres were also provided. The locals of Sapi-III village were very happy and expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by Assam Rifles. A total of 32 locals of Sapi-III village attended the lecture.
