Assam Rifles conducts lecture on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at Zorinpui

LUNGLEI: The Lunglei Battalion of Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) conducted a lecture on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at Hamawngbuchhua Village on July 28.

A total of 41 civilians of nearby areas attended the programme. During the event, the locals were educated about the importance of clean surroundings.

The public were also educated on global warming, its harmful effects and the benefits of tree plantation to counter it.

The locals expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for its sustained efforts to sensitise the masses on issues of health and clean environment, stated a press release.
