Assam Rifles distributes essential items to ex-servicemen in Mizoram

Mizoram: Assam Rifles conducted an interaction with ex-servicemen (ESM) and Veer naris of Indian Army and Assam Rifles at Serchhip & Champhai districts of Mizoram on Saturday. Various ongoing welfare schemes implemented for the ex-servicemen were highlighted during the event.

The meeting provided the platform for discussion of various issues being faced by the ex-servicemen, veer naris and widows of Serchhip district. Basic essential food and ration items were also distributed to ESM, Veer Naris and their family members.

Veterans expressed their gratitude to the organisation and also appreciated the sustained efforts of Assam Rifles in maintaining security and peace in the area, stated a press release.
