Assam Rifles moves to train Mizoram villagers

AIZAWL: The Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organised a Lecture cum Interactive Session on ginger processing; kitchen gardening for the inhabitants of the border village of all COBs/POB of Aizawl Battalion in Mizoram on January 23.

The mission was carried out with the following multifold objectives: encourage and assist prospective entrepreneurs and making them aware of the opportunities in the MSME sector; help the entrepreneurs with knowledge about the availability of raw materials, market, source of technology and plant as well as machinery suppliers; enhance the employability skills of villagers; and make the inhabitants of border villages aware about the advantages of kitchen gardening and ways to increase productivity with minimum cost. The lecture-cum-interactive session was attended by 118 villagers from across all the COBs/POBs of Aizawl Battalion, stated a release.
