AIZAWL: Assam Rifles conducted a lecture on World Environment Health Day at Zokhawsang, Hnahlan and Mimbung on Tuesday.
The aim of conducting the lecture is to address the critical relationship between the environment and public health. The lecture highlighted the various forms of pollution, including air pollution, water pollution and soil contamination. The lecture raised awareness and helped to educate, inspire and mobilize students and local populace to take action in preserving the environment for the betterment of public health. It underscored the urgent need for global cooperation in addressing these pressing issues.
The participating local people and their family members expressed profound gratitude to the Assam Rifles for undertaking such an initiative and appreciated the continuous efforts and commitment of the force in reaching out to them, stated a press release.
