Mizoram: Assam Rifles Seizes Illegal Areca Nuts Worth Rs 93.80 Lakh in Champhai District

 MIZORAM: The Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), recovered 180 bags of illegal areca nuts worth Rs 93.80 lakh in the general area of Chhungte, Champhai district, on Friday. The operation was carried out by a team of COB Champhai, 42 Assam Rifles, based on specific information. The seized items were handed over to Custom Preventive Force Champhai on Friday for further legal proceedings, stated a press release.
