Assam Rifles seized nine cases of foreign-origin smuggled cigarettes in Mizoram

AIZAWL: The Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), along with the Custom Department, Champhai, recovered nine cases of foreign-origin smuggled cigarettes in Champhai area of Mizoram.

The operation was based on specific information. The approximate market value of the recovered items is Rs 11, 70,000. The Champhai Custom Department seized the contraband items, stated a release.
