Foreign-origin cigarettes worth Rs 50.7 lakh seized in Mizoram

 MIZORAM: The Serchhip Battalion of Mizoram Range, under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), recovered 39 cases of Foreign-Origin Cigarettes worth Rs 50.7 Lakh in general area Xg Pt-III Zokhawthar, Champhai, on Monday. The operation was carried out by a combined team of COB Zokhawthar, Serchhip Battalion, and Custom Preventive Force Champhai based on specific information. The seized consignment has been handed over to Customs Preventive Force Champhai for further legal proceedings., stated a press release.
