 MIZORAM: Serchhip Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organised a unity run in line with G20 Summit motto of One Earth, One Family, One Future (Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam) of young NCC cadets of first Mizo Air (Flying) Squadron, NCC & first Mizo Battalion NCC (Army) comprising of and 11 cadets of Air Force Wing and 23 cadets from Army Wing under the supervision of Flying Officer Dr Lalrinthuanga Sailo (ANO) on Saturday.

The event was organized in order to motivate youth and young minds in Serchhip to get to know the rich tradition, history, and glory of the armed forces in order to feel proud of their commitment and contribution to the nation and be the catalysts in the inclusive growth of Mizoram and the nation. The objective of the event was to create a sense of honour and instill a sense of pride in the young minds of Serchhip so as to motivate them to contribute towards the upliftment of society and the nation as a whole. The event consisted of a 2.4-kilometre run, starting from the New Serchhip Sports Complex, flagged off by the officiating commandant of the Serchhip Battalion, and an open interactive session, addressing their inquisitive approach towards national interests. The event was a success because it gave young minds the opportunity to spread the word about being an integral part of national development and sharing a sense of belonging to the nation as an integral part of society.

Assam Rifles were thanked for their prompt approach and forthcoming response towards such nation-building initiatives and their unwavering commitment towards uplifting society in line with national interests by generating a remarkable impact in the hearts and minds of the local population. According to a press release, the event concluded with a closing address by the officiating commandant and an interactive session in which the zeal and enthusiasm for participating in such events and choosing the Armed Forces as a career choice were highlighted, stated a press release.
