Lecture conducted on 'how to join Indian Army/Assam Rifles' in Mizoram

Aizawl: The Lunglei Battalion of 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), conducted a lecture on "How to join Indian Army/ Assam Rifles" at Sapi village in the Lunglei district of Mizoram on Friday.

The lecture aimed to brief the youth about the role of the Indian Army & Assam Rifles. The youths were briefed on qualification requirements, physical fitness and written tests to clear their doubts. The complete selection procedure, from online registration to medical of selected candidates, everything was briefed in detail. The facilities provided by the Indian Army & Assam Rifles to the soldier and their dependents were also included in the discussion with the youths. While interacting with the youth it was observed that many of them are keen to join forces but due to a lack of knowledge about the eligibility and means to apply for the entrance examination they are not able to utilize the opportunity. The parents of the youth and locals expressed their gratitude for the efforts being taken by Assam Rifles in building the future of their children. A total of 17 locals attended the lecture, a press release said.
