Major General SS Deusi visits forward posts in Mizoram

AIZWAL: Major General S S Deusi, VSM, ADG AR visited the forward posts and Headquarters of Serchhip Battalion on Thursday. The General Officer visited the Zokhawthar and Champhai posts and addressed the challenges faced by the security forces deployed in border guarding role. Furthermore, he reviewed the alertness of the Battalion in view of the military coup in Myanmar resulting in heavy influx of Myanmarese national in Mizoram.

The ADG AR later flew in an IAF helicopter to land at the Battalion Headquarters at Serchhip. During the visit, The General Officer was accompanied by the DIG, 23 Sector Assam Rifles, Brigadier Digvijay Singh, SM and Col Junior Mutum, SM, Commandant, Serchhip Battalion, stated a release.
