AIZAWL : In order to discuss the issues of the Northeast states, Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga, visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his stay in New Delhi on 8th of December, 2022.
The chief minister also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah to broach the issues.
Zoramthanga after his meeting with PM Narendra Modi, shared a tweet where he praised and extended his gratitude towards the PM's unparalleled efforts and ideas to upgrade and develop the India as a whole. He expressed that India has become much stronger than it was before under the assistance of PM Narendra Modi.
He also mentioned about the uplift Mizoram has witnessed under the governance of Narendra Modi. Zoramthanga shared with the PM the current needs and necessities of the state.
As per the reports, he will return to Mizoram on 9th of December, Friday.
On 5th of December, Zoramthanga also attended the all-party meeting organised to exchange suggestions for the G20 summit in 2023. The meeting was presided over by PM Modi. Meetings of the influential group will be carried out in 55 cities across India, few of which are also planned in the Northeast region
Aizawl is already scheduled to organise one of the meetings. Also on Tuesday, Zoramthanga met External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar at his residence and both of them shared several issues that includes the multilateral trade with the adjacent countries.
The G20 helps India to promote its culture, history and tourism potential immensely. Shri G Kishan Reddy, during the inauguration of 10th ITM for the northeast region 17th November stated that, Northeast should shift its complete focus in promoting the Northeast's cultural richness while welcoming the world to India.
The International Tourist Mart 2022 will showcase the wide and diverse tourist potential of the northeastern states during the meeting. He further encourages everyone to make the most the opportunity during the G20 meet.
