'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' in Mizoram by Assam Rifles

AIZAWL: The Aizawl Battalion of Headquarter 23 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of Headquarters Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), organised Cleanliness Drive at all Company Operating Bases in Mizoram on 19 November 2021.

A total of 79 troops of Assam Rifles and 39 local residents attended the programme.

Gandhiji had a dream of Clean India and had once said that Cleanliness is important than Independence. This whole initiative was organised with an aim of spreading awareness about personal and public hygiene. Also the idea was to ignite the feeling of patriotism in the young minds of this region and make them understand the dream of Mahatma Gandhi, stated a press release.

The locals of Mizoram were very happy and expressed their gratitude for the initiative taken by the Assam Rifles.
