Nagaland: 5 Killed, 3 Injured After Taxi Collides With Truck

Kohima: At least five people lost their lives while three others were injured after a taxi collided with a truck from Manipur on National Highway (NH) 26 on Saturday.

As per reports, the incident took place in the morning when the truck coming from the opposite side collided with a Kohima-bound regional taxi. In the collision, three people died on the spot while around five got injured.

Later, while shifting injured ones to hospital, two of them succumbed to their injuries.

The three other injured persons, including the driver of the van, are currently undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the driver and the truck have been taken into custody and a case has been registered in this connection.

Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton expressed grief over the incident.
