KOHIMA: Chief Secretary (CS) Nagaland, Temjen Toy, held a coordination committee meeting with officials of all the line departments involved with National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation ( NHIDCL) at Chief Secretary's Conference Hall, here on Monday.
The Chief Secretary mentioned that the main objective of coordination meeting was to coordinate with all the stakeholders and together solve issues and problems faced by the line departments while carrying out development activities, particularly on road construction works by NHIDCL in the state. He said 'lack of coordination' between different departments is the main hindrance in obstructing the work progress in our state. Keeping this concern in mind, he urged the departments not to blame on each other instead find a solution to settle the issue at the level of Heads of Departments (HoDs), stated a release.
He also asked the General Manager (Projects) to keep updating about the work progress to the department and Chief Secretary's office on a regular basis. The road from Patkai Bridge to Pagla Pahar will remain closed from 10:30 pm to 5:30 am with effect from May 17.
During the meeting, issues relating to the finalization of alignment, land acquisition, land and other compensation, shifting of utilities and forest clearance were the main points of discussion where the Additional Heads of Departments, Heads of Departments and Deputy Commissioners highlighted the status of their respective departments and districts where NHIDCL works are being undertaken.
