Guwahati: After the detection of COVID-19 positive cases, the office of Nagaland Chief Secretary Temjen Toy has been sealed for 48 hours (from August 16, 2020).

Additional Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Lithringla Tongpi Rutsa, ordered to seal the Nagaland Chief Secretary's office, along with Directorate General of Under Developed Areas (DUDA) for 48 hours, as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on preventive measures after Coronavirus case was detected in the office premises.

An order sent by Additional Deputy Commissioner stated, " The fumigation and disinfection of the office premises are been initiated, following all the healthy safety measures and SOPs of the government. The proposed sealed area is mapped and cordoned off and the public and all concerned are advised to follow safety precautions like wearing mask all time".

The order further advised all to follow the guidelines of frequently washing hands and maintaining social distance to ensure public hygiene and public safety in the vicinity of the sealed area.

It is to be noted thatde the government of Nagaland has extended the lockdown in the state till 31 August.
