Guwahati: Amid the ongoing surge in COVID-19 cases, Nagaland has confirmed 33 more fresh cases of the virus on Tuesday, July 14.
With these latest detections, the number of active patients in the state has risen to 538, while the recovered cases now number 340.
It has been reported that out of the 33 infected patients, 24 cases are from Kohima, 3 infected patients are from Dimapur, 2 each in Peren and Longleng, and 1 each in Mokokchung and Zunheboto.
Nagaland health minister S Pangnyu Phom confirmed this development via a tweet that he shared on his official account.
It is to be noted that Nagaland's COVID-19 caseload increased to 845 on Monday, July 13, with the addition of 71 more cases – the largest single-day bump recorded in the history of the state.
