KOHIMA: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio unveiled thrilling prospects for the Hornbill Festival 2023, as the United States of America, Germany, and Colombia emerge as prominent partner countries for the annual extravaganza. Rio shared this exciting revelation on the micro-blogging site "X," detailing the extensive collaboration planned for the Festival of Festivals.

Expressing enthusiasm, Rio disclosed plans to host an American music band and facilitate the USA's active participation in numerous festival events. Emphasizing the positive historical relationship with the United States, Rio expressed hope that this partnership would foster closer ties for mutual benefit and enhanced collaborations between the two nations.

In a subsequent post, Rio revealed that the renowned German rock band, ELM Tree, is set to participate in the Hornbill Music Festival. Additionally, the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Kolkata will showcase notable German film productions at the festival's film segment. Highlighting the diverse collaboration, Rio announced the hosting of a German business delegation for a round table discussion with the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland.

"We are looking forward to another great Hornbill Festival and hope this partnership will strengthen collaboration between the two countries as we look forward to greater bilateral ties and increased people-to-people contact," Rio remarked optimistically.

In a separate update on "X," Rio shared that performers and cultural ambassadors from Colombia would grace one of the region's most significant music events, contributing to the Festival of Festivals' value and diversity. Rio expressed anticipation for increased collaboration and strengthened ties between Nagaland and Colombia.

During the second consultative meeting for the forthcoming Hornbill Festival, Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along extended a warm invitation to global tourists. He urged people from around the world to witness the 10-day celebration showcasing Nagaland's diverse and vibrant culture. Notably, as the upcoming festival marks its 25th edition, Minister Along assured that preparations are underway to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience for attendees.

The Hornbill Festival 2023 is poised to be a global spectacle, uniting cultures through music, film, and collaborative exchanges, as Nagaland welcomes the USA, Germany, and Colombia to share in this cultural celebration.
