Northeast car rally reached Nagaland's Kohima after covering 2200 km

KOHIMA: The Purvottar Bharat Parikrama, Car Rally reached Kohima, Nagaland, after covering 2200 km across four states (West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh) in the past nine days. The car rally has been joined by PVC awardee, Sub Major and Hony Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav, PVC (Retd).

On reaching Kohima, the members of the car rally paid homage to brave soldiers at the WWII memorial and felicitated the families of valiant soldiers who laid their life for the nation. The family of Captain (Late) Neikezhakuo Kenguruse, MVC, and Hony Captain Imliakum Ao, MVC was also felicitated during the event, stated a press release.

A motivational talk was also given by Sub Major and Hony Capt Yogendra Singh Yadav, PVC (Retd) to the NCC cadets and School students, the interaction was received well by the students and motivated them to contribute to nation-building. The car rally was flagged off by Army Commander HQ Eastern Command Lieutenant general RP Kalita, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, SM, and VSM on March 22, on the eve of Shaheed Diwas.
