MoS Debasree Chaudhuri Says BJP Has No Agenda To Abrogate Article 371

Sikkim BJP unit organized a public awareness campaign on the Centre government's decision on the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A from Jammu & Kashmir at Nepali Dharmashala, Singtam today.

The campaign as a part of the nationwide awareness on the problem was attended by Raiganj, West Bengal BJP MP and Union Minister of State (MoS) for kid and women Development Debasree Chaudhuri as the chief guest. State BJP leaders, party MLAs, and functionaries were conjointly present on the occasion, a BJP release informs.

Addressing the gathering, MoS Chaudhuri aforesaid BJP patriarch Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee had always voiced against the separate standing accorded to Jammu & Kashmir and also the demand has been completed when 70 years under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She informed that the BJP had always mentioned Article 370 altogether its election manifestoes that are consummated by a majority government of the party now. With the abrogation, Jammu & Kashmir and also the Ladakh regions can witness development at par with different parts of the country, she aforesaid adding that the special status had caused great injustice to the citizens of Jammu & Kashmir.

Expressing concern on the apprehensions raised on the fate of Article 371 enjoyed by many States as well as Sikkim, Chaudhuri assured that the BJP government doesn't have any agenda to try away with Article 371. She added that Union Home minister Amit Shah has repeatedly assured the States on the problem and exhorted the party functionaries and MLAs to require the message to the lots within the State, the release adds.
