Amid all the doubts and uncertainty of how to manage the quarantine procedures in the state for the returnees, Sikkim administration has issued a clarification stating that paid quarantine is available for all returnees and that all returnees have to complete 11 days as per SOPs.

The statement by the administration said that there will be no need for any tests if one completes the 11-day quarantine. It further said that returnees may opt for home quarantine based on the recommendation by the Panchayat or a No Objection Certificate(NOC) by the house owner.

''Panchayats and house owners must verify that separate toilets and kitchens are available for individuals undergoing home quarantine'' the statement said.

According to the statement, ''returnees who opted for paid quarantine can also shift to home isolation by acquiring a NOC from panchayat and house owners, which can be submitted to the person in charge of the quarantine center.
