NAMCHI: India’s longest-serving Chief Minister Pawan Chamling filed his nomination from Namchi Singithang and Poklok Kamrang Assembly constituencies on Monday for the Sikkim Assembly elections.
The 68-year-old Chamling, who has been helming Sikkim since December 12, 1994, filed his papers in Namchi, the headquarters of South Sikkim district. Chamling is seeking a record sixth consecutive term for his party, Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) in the upcoming assembly elections. (IANS)
