Three Sikkim students to represent India in ''World Climate Summit 2020''

Gangtok: A very happy and proud moment for the people of Sikkim as three students from the state will be representing India in the ''World Climate Summit 2020'' on September 25-26 organised by Eco-Network.

The three students namely, Rishal Pandey Chettri from DPS Siliguri, Rushali Golay from Holy Cross School, Tadong, and Ashwatth Tamang from TNA will get an opportunity to meet globally renowned climate activists from several countries and will be talking about various climate issues about Sikkim. These students would also be interacting with international delegates from 15 different countries will enrich their knowledge and help in confidence-building.

Due to restrictions of COVID-19, the summit will be held online.

Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay took to Facebook to congratulate the brilliant young minds by saying,

''I wish them all the success and hope this experience will further enrich their knowledge and give them more confidence in the future. I would also like to encourage our students to work on accomplishing their goals and be proactive. Our students are more than capable of great achievements if they put their mind to it. I advise them to take inspiration from those who have previously made themselves, their parents, and the State proud in their respective fields.''
