Agartala: A 15-year-old girl along with three persons were injured in a lightning strike in Tripura near the Indo-Bangla border.
The incident occured at Boxanagar of Sonamura sub-division Sipahijala district on Thursday night.
As per reports, it has been raining cats and dogs around Boxnagar since Thursday evening.
Along with heavy rains pouring, lightning incidents have also been reported from various parts of Tripura.
The injured have been identified as Ruzina Akhter, Jaitan Bibi, both of them are middle-aged and 15-year-old Mahinur Akhter.
The victims have also received burn injuries due to lightning.
They fainted after being struck by lightening and were rushed to Boxnagar Primary Hospital on Thursday night.
While one was released after initial treatment, two others are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Boxanagar is approximately 50 km from Agartala and is located near the Indo-Bangla border.
