Tripura Governor and CM Biplab Kumar Deb call to observe ‘Janata Curfew’

Agartala: The Health Department of Tripura has examined over one hundred suspected coronavirus cases but none of them were found positive. Even then the State is taking all precautionary measures to prevent any infection of the killer virus and Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb appealed to the people to respond to the Prime Minister’s call to observe “Janata Curfew” on Sunday and to maintain the restriction imposed by the government and sought the co-operation of people to avoid and contain the spread of COVID-19.

Governor Bais said Prime Minister Modi had made a proposal to stay indoors and urged everybody to work together in fighting the coronavirus pandemic and urged the people to maintain Prime Minister’s proposal of “Janata curfew” on Sunday.

The Chief Minister in a message to the people of the State during his statement in the Assembly highlighted steps which were so far been taken to contain the spread of coronavirus. He also gave details of health preparedness across health institutions of the State to tackle any possible Covid-19 positive patient. Deb also requested the Centre to send necessary medical kits at the earliest.
