Tripura Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman stresses on cleanliness of hospitals in the state

Agartala: Tripura Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman who has launched a special drive to meet the crisis of blood in the hospitals of the state is also stressed the need for keeping the hospitals clean. During a visit in the Khowai hospital on Monday, he physically verified the allegations being made about the dirty conditions of the hospitals and instructed the officials to keep the hospital clean.

The minister was especially dissatisfied with the condition of the toilet and basins and asked who were responsible for maintaining the cleanliness. He also talked to the patients and discussed about their problems. During discussions, many patient and hospital authority pointed out to the deficiency of doctors when the minister assured that it will take another three of four years to solve. He also attended a blood donation camp organised by Ramkrishna Sewa Sadan and said science could not discover any alternative to blood yet and urged the people to come forward for donating blood. He said the local people can meet the need of blood in their area if they come forward voluntarily to donate blood.

Referring to the blood donation movement in the state he appreciated the youth, student and women organisations of the previous ruling party who used to organise blood donation camp regularly. He urged various organisations to come forward to donate blood which will save the life of others.
