Unakoti: Tripura Police on Saturday arrested a Rohingya family consisting of six members from Tripura's Unakoti district for illegally entering India.

Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, Tripura state Rifles (TSR) personnel raided the house of a person named Sahnaj Ali of Ichabpur under Gournagar block and arrested them.

Among those apprehended included two adults and four children, who later confessed that they entered the Indian Territory illegally.

They had entered into India from Dawki in Meghalaya and then moved to Assam. Later, they boarded an Agartala-bound train and reached Tripura.
