Shankar Debnath, the West District Superintendent of police, said that, ample number of police and other concerned forces will be allocated across the region to sustain a secure law and order scenario . The SP mentioned this while addressing a press conference on 16th of December.
He further added that PM Narendra Modi, after his arrival in Tripura, will reach at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala by road. The government has already assigned forces who will assist Modi's security during his time in Tripura. These forces will be deployed to prevent any sort of unwanted situation.
The state has beefed up the security in the entire region. A collaborative patrolling carried out by BSF and Police is going on along the Indo-Bangladesh border, everyday. The SP further informed that Vivekananda Maidan has been surrounded by CCTVs to identify any kind of unpleasant activity.
Along with that, the SP talked about the flag marches conducted by the cops and other security agencies in Agartala on a regular basis. They have also initiated search operations in several areas of the city.
Debapriya Bardhan, the District Magistrate of West Tripura, informed that PM Narendra Modi,while on his visit will launch seven new projects. He will reach the airport at 2.25 PM and then visit the Vivekananda Maidan at 2:45 PM, where the programme will be organised till 3:45 PM, as per sources.
The Magistrate further revealed that government officials will be provided with specific trains and buses. Tripura is all set to make the event a grand one. Approximately 72,000 government beneficiaries are expected to attend the event. After concluding the programme, Narendra Modi will depart from the state at 5:15 PM.
Apart from the launch event, the PM will also chair a meeting in State Guest House.
