NORTH TRIPURA: A woman who was a resident of Ward number 6 of the Saraspur Gram Panchayat of the North Tripura District of Tripura passed away after consuming pesticides. According to reports, she decided to take this extreme step after having a fight with her husband because of some reason.

The victim was identified as 23-year-old Minti Nath, wife of Tinku Nath who works as a carpenter in the locality. The couple also have a two-year-old daughter from their three-and-a-half-year-old marriage. It was mentioned that the couple entered into a heated argument on Friday.

Meanwhile, in Assam, the case surrounding the suicide of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha secretary Indrani Tahbildar, the alleged prime suspect, Anurag Chaliha, is scheduled to appear before the court on Wednesday following the conclusion of his seven-day police custody. Chaliha, implicated in the tragedy due to leaked photos with Tahbildar, has been under police custody since the incident.

Indrani Tahbildar's suicide was reportedly triggered by the circulation of intimate photos of her and Anurag Chaliha on social media, which ultimately led to her untimely death. Chaliha, who had initially gone into hiding following the incident, was apprehended on August 14 in Demow, Sivasagar. Apart from his involvement in the suicide case, Chaliha faces allegations of embezzling a substantial sum of money from individuals seeking employment within the state government. It is alleged that he orchestrated a cash-for-job scam, defrauding countless aspirants of their hard-earned money.
