ABMSU burns effigy of CM Sarbananda Sonawal in Kokrajhar, Assam

Kokrajhar, July 23: The All BTC Minority Students' Union (ABMSU) burned down the effigy of the Chief Minister of Sarbananda Sonawal for haarassing minority community by border police in the name of D voters in various district of BTAD and as well as state.

Over hundred of the ABMSU activists shouting slogans CM Sarbananda Sonowal murdabad, CM Hai Hai , border Police hai hai, we need justice,stop harrasing minority community in name of D voters, ABMSU Zindabad and burn an effigy of CM at Bhotgaon Kokrajhar via Dhubri road today in Kokrajhar.

Talking to reporters today at Bhotgaon in Kokrajhar, Jaidul Islam president of ABMSU Kokrajhar district committee said that Border police has been harassing the minority community in the name of D voters and ABMSU activists demanding not to harassing the minority community in the name of D voters.

He also said that the protestors' people were demanding for early solution of long pending D-Voters issue and also on going upgrading of NRC .
