Meet Jaidev Sarkar from Goraimari area in Bijni of Bongaigaon District who has introduced Biofloc fish farming process in his locality.
Biofloc fish farming is a sustainable and environmentally-friendly process of aquaculture that controls water quality and harmful pathogens along with providing value-added creation of the microbial protein feed for the aquatic farm structure.
Speaking to media, Jaidev Sarkar said, "Biofloc fish farming is a boon towards making the youth of the region self-reliant. The biofloc technology is not only effective in treating the waste but also grants nutrition to the fish and shellfish farming."
